Kaidokan Judo Academy- Blackpool opened in late 2015 by Ross Goodwin with a vision to be limitless to ensure the community have the opportunity to achieve happiness, goals, desires & fulfillment! Welcoming all ages, genders, ability and disabilities.

Creating friendships, memories and champions

Within just the ahort time of opening the academy, it achieved tremendous success within the community by being awarded the areas community sports club of the year along with Ross earning The area and Regional Coach of the year awards ( Fylde, Blackpool & Lancashire twice)

It has produced multi time national champions which include individuals on the adaptive/special needs pathway and VI ( visually impaired). Along with International Competitors

Kaidokan Judo Academy prides itself on aiming to provide unique and rare opportunities for all on and off the mat in judo and in life.

From humble beginnings started with just 1 session per week renting out a hall. To getting its own venue and becoming a full time Judo Academy offering children, adult classes with unique classes such as Judo tots for ages 3&4.

As well as this, the academy launched 'Rascals sports camp' - A camp that allows the children to enjoy new perspectives, sports, opportunites and allow other coaches to promote their sport and club. Offering ...

The Academy continues to thrive as it is now settled into its new venue and full timetable.

The academy and sport proves that he skills learnt are transferable as we have children not just successful in Judo but other sports such as Rugby, cricket, football and more.

With many of our adults applying the learning from the sport and academy to be successful in business and happy in life.

The academy is proud of all members and we are blessed to have such a supportive town, community and team.
